I was so excited when I saw Jackson’s nursery. It was a lifestyle photographer’s dream! Great light, gorgeous design, beautiful colors, perfect! I had also met his parents weeks before for their maternity session at my favorite spot, the Howard County Conservancy.  So many people are hesitant to schedule maternity pictures. I know when I was pregnant with my oldest, I didn’t want any pictures. I thought I looked awful. Now I look back and wish I had some.

Lifestyle sessions are a great option for parents who want a newborn session, but more laid back than the traditional in studio newborn session. It’s so nice to be in your own home, relaxed. You don’t have to worry if you brought everything the baby may need, or a change of clothes if you get peed, pooped, or thrown up on. It’s definitely a different feel than a studio newborn session, but I really enjoy lifestyle sessions and am always excited when clients book them!
