{Baltimore Maryland Family Photographer} The D Family

We’re back in the swing of school/sports/activities and fall is quickly approaching (though I’m holding onto these last few weeks of summer weather!). I figured now’s a good time to blog some of my sessions from last fall!

A lot of photographers don’t love extended family sessions, and they certainly can be challenging. It can be difficult getting large groups to all focus on me. Editing can be difficult because I often have to combine images to get one of everyone looking, eyes open, no crazy faces, etc. It can also be tough to be creative with large groups…there’s only so many ways to pose 15 people!

All that said, I know how much I cherish the pictures of my extended family. It’s hard getting a lot of people together with how crazy everyone’s schedules are, and when a family is willing to do that to get that picture, I love that I am a part of it. I love being able to give a family a picture that they’ll always cherish.

I met this family at the beach a couple years ago, but everyone wasn’t able to be there for their session, so I was thrilled to be able to do a session for the entire family last fall. Like I said, I know how hard it is to get schedules aligned. We were lucky to have great weather and cooperative kids! We met at one of my favorite spots, the Howard County Conservancy. I love the light and the landscape. I never get tired of it!

My fall schedule is starting to fill up, but I do still have some openings available. If you’d like to schedule this fall, send me an email at joannarobbinsphotography@gmail.com
