I really, really, really love Christmas time. I’m a beach person, but the only thing that gets me over my post-summer blues is the knowledge that the holiday season is quickly approaching.  Every year, I offer holiday themed studio mini sessions. It’s a fun couple days! I usually have some cookies, juice, and try to make it fun and relaxed.

I always have a couple different backdrops. The one I mostly use for families is the simple couch setup. I love it because it’s classic, timeless, and simple. It can be Christmas-y depending on your outfits, or it can be something you hang on your wall all year long! I also have another setup that it similar to what I use for Santa pictures. My Santa/Christmas setup for 2019 will be a bit different than the pictures I’ll share below (but you’ll see my setup for this year at the end of this post!). Depending on how many people are in your family, you may be able to squeeze in for a family shot here as well.

Probably my favorite backdrop is the bed! It looks very real, but it’s actually a printed backdrop and blowup mattress. There’s very little I find cuter than kids in Christmas pajamas, so I really love using this one. I always offer cookies (peanut free, and only with your permission!) and love seeing what kids come up with for this setup.  I also have a drawer full of (mostly gender neutral, and a few nightgowns) Christmas pajamas in various sizes in case you forget to bring some, or if you decide you love the setup once you arrive.

I’ll be offering these sessions on November 24, just after the craziness of Santa minis, and with plenty of time to get them back for you to use them for Holiday cards. If November 24 doesn’t work for your schedule, I’ll open a few times during the week, through Wednesday. I will also have a *very* few spots available on December 8. Because it’s closing in on the end of the holiday season, I will only be able to do a few in order to allow me enough time to get them back to you.
