{Carroll County, Maryland Child Photographer} Life By Lens September 2014

We’re posting a few days late, but still going strong with our blog circle, Life By Lens! Each month, a group of photographers from across the country post some personal pictures from the previous month.

Summer is officially and sadly over. 🙁 It was a great summer and it FLEW by!   We did take 2 more short trips to the beach this month, but unfortunately our long weekend was mostly a rainout. I was really disappointed, because I love being at the beach in September when the weather is (usually) great, the water warm, and the crowds gone.  And this was our last year to be able to make this trip, because we’ll have a full time kindergartner next year! We had one great day and then it was windy and rainy for the next 3. Both girls are started school this month (part time). It’s still a very strange feeling walking into an empty house, even if it’s only for 2 hours! The girls are also in ballet together, which is adorable, and my 4 year old started soccer.

So that’s what we’ve been up to this month….hard to believe in 2 short months I’ll have another little one to be posting about!  🙂 Now continue the circle by clicking here to see Jeanine with pArt of Life Photography!

Meet the teacher day:

First Day!

Our rainy last trip to the beach

First day of ballet

I had a small shoe rack delivered in a ridiculously huge box, which we got lots of mileage out of.

My 4 year old is showing a real interest in learning to read, and as a former kindergarten teacher, I love it!  My favorite thing about teaching kindergarten was seeing the kids learn to read.  It’s so much fun seeing her learn so much at this age.  She asks to do her “work” every day, so I went through some of the boxes and boxes of stuff in my basement from my classroom, and found some activities that she’s really enjoying.  Of course the 2 (almost 3!) year old had to get involved too, so we worked on some sorting with her.

And soccer! I’m so hoping that they inherit my husbands’ athletic abilities and not mine.

I took my girls out a couple times to update our wall photos and to do some birthday pictures for my 3 year old (I’ll post them soon!) but here are just a couple.
