The Howard County Conservancy is one of my absolute favorite locations, especially in the summer. It’s so beautiful, and the light is just perfect. There’s a variety of different “backdrops,” and we have the option to walk far (good for little ones who need a break between shots) or stay near the parking lot and still find different spots to grab some shots.

It was a gorgeous night for pictures with the R family. The boys did a fantastic job. I know a lot of parents are nervous about how their kids are going to behave for their session. As a mother of 4 and former kindergarten teacher, believe me when I say I do NOT expect them to behave like angels. I always tell people I need 1/400th of a second of cooperation at a time. Usually they can manage that. 🙂 And sometimes, you get pictures that really capture their personalities when you let them be themselves! How many little boys sit and smile on command for no reason? Not many…but how many love tackling their brother? Probably all! So I made sure to include some of those type of pictures as well!
